Comparative analysis of cotton seed sowing methods and the advantages of ridge sowing technology

This article presents a comparative analysis of cotton seed sowing methods, including sowing on flat fields, under plastic mulch, and on ridges. The agronomic, technological, and economic advantages and disadvantages of these cotton seed sowing technologies are examined. The analysis demonstrates the advantages of ridge sowing in increasing soil temperature, conserving soil moisture, ensuring earlier seed emergence, and improving cotton yield. The suitability of ridge sowing as a promising technology under the conditions of Uzbekistan is substantiated. The study also highlights the need to improve sowing units capable of planting cotton seeds without disturbing the shape of the ridge during the sowing process
